Tips About Your Reconditioned Acorn 180
Curved Stairlift

Important Notes!

On/Off Switch
Switching the On/Off switch to the off position will stop your stairlift
battery charging and may result in your battery becoming flat. We suggest that you leave this switch in the on position to prevent the battery from going flat.

Turning your stairlift off at the mains will stop your stairlift battery charging and may result in your battery becoming flat. We suggest that you leave this switch in the on position and do not remove the plug, if one is fitted, to prevent the battery from going flat.

Stairlifts have a low annual running charge; in fact they need much less
power than an electric kettle to work! Electricity tariffs vary but we think
the annual running cost is between
£2.00 and £3.00 per year for average use of about 12 journeys a day.

Once a battery has gone flat your stairlift will not work until the battery has been replaced by a qualified stairlift engineer. This is a chargeable service.

Power cuts

Your battery holds enough power for at least 10 trips up and down the
stairs in the event of a power cut.
